In imitation of it BK Powertool Dragracing organizes the GO! Spectrumschool her second Grand Prix for powertool dragracers!
Over a distance of approximately 18,5 meters, it will be decided who made the fastest vehicle based on one or two electric hand tools. Some of our school's classes built their own racers. Do you feel like doing the same and on Saturday 6 June to appear at the start?

To be at stake three exchange cups:
- The “Grand Prix” is handed over to those of whom the dragracer in the finale first crosses the finish line.
- The “Klassebak” is handed over to the vehicle that is most beautifully decorated according to the jury.
- The “Spectacle car” is handed over for the vehicle that, according to the jury, is the most “ingenious” driven.

GAME RULES

The same rules as of it BK Powertool Dragracing apply. Below is a summary of these rules:

Safety

  • Working with electric hand tools is very dangerous. As a participant you are responsible for the safety of your vehicle, also towards the bystanders in the race.
  • For safety reasons, any vehicle that participates at any time during the race can be excluded from further participation by the organization.
  • It is not allowed to get to your vehicle or to the racetrack during a race. Vehicles may only be driven by the dead man's button of the organization.

Vehicles

  • Vehicles are based on electric hand tools.
  • You can use 2 hand tools but you do not change the power supply and motor.
  • The vehicles are up to 30cm wide and 100cm long.
  • The organization provides 230V with an 10A fuse for each vehicle, on an 30m long extension cable. Participants are responsible for the organization of this cable for the competition.

Racetrack

  • The vehicles race on an OSB surface over a distance of 18,48m. The track is 30,5 cm wide and has a vertical edge of about 9,6 cm.
  • At the end of the runway, containment bins are provided to stop the vehicles. Please note that this way of stopping can damage the vehicle.

Christmas tree

The start is given by a series of lights. The three top lights are yellow and indicate the countdown. Each yellow light illuminates consecutively for 1 second, after which the green light signals the start signal. If you operate the dead man's switch earlier, a red light will indicate the false start. The race will then restart. If you start false twice within one race, the opponent wins.
