HOUSE OF THE FUTURE
PART 1 & 2

HouseOfTheFuture 400x274 - House Of The Future

info:

During the first part of this workshop we dive into the world of coding and get acquainted with the microbit. With this handy device and the necessary programming knowledge you can automate all kinds of tasks yourself. How about an electronic dice or compass? Or would you prefer a light board on which your name appears? For each 2 student we learn to code on the basis of a series of assignments. Guidance is ready to help you on your way when you are stuck somewhere.

In part II the students let go of their creativity to automate the classroom on the basis of the microbit. Sufficient materials will be available for building doorbells, curtains that close automatically when we want to operate the projector, alarms that go off when the time for making a key has passed, etc.

During these workshops we work on the following learning plan objectives:

House Of The Future (part 1)

  • 33209: Of common and frequently used technical systems illustrate how they are based, among other things, on knowledge of a number of technical principles used.
  • 33217: Of common and often used technical systems illustrate that they evolve and improve.
  • 33302: Use and / or implement technical systems in various application areas of technology.
  • 33304: Explicit “the need” and “the problem” for making a technical system.
  • 33309: Come up with ideas for a design of a simple technical system through “trial and error”.
  • 33310: Gathering ideas for a simple technical system design through a problem-solving mindset.
  • 33316: Realize a simple technical system with or without a step-by-step plan.
  • 33317: Perform a simple working drawing or manual step by step.
  • 33318: Determine by use whether the goal was achieved with a home-made technical system.
  • 33402: Properly use technical systems in different areas of technology.
