An education Learning + Moving on (double finality) of GO! Spectrumschool, Campus Ruggeveld

What are you learning?

In training Electrical engineering (double finality) you develop insights in applied mathematics and science. You learn process-oriented thinking and practice technological skills. You combine both the theoretical and the practical aspect.

You will conduct research within electricity electronics. You practice technological skills in automation, industrial electrical installations, programmable controls, electro-pneumatics, assembly and disassembly techniques, maintenance and diagnostic techniques and diagnosis of electrical installations.

During you Internship you get an extensive chance of what you know and can apply in practice. We have an excellent one cooperation with companies as a Atlas Copco & Umicore to specialize and excel on the work floor itself.

You can already in the 1e degree start with one preliminary training STEM. Discover more via 1st degree STEM sciences en 1st degree STEM techniques.

For who?

Do you have a passion for technology and electricity? Do you have problem-solving skills, do you work accurately and independently and do you have an eye for detail?
Do you like to combine the theoretical with the practical?
Then this direction may be something for you.

What do we expect?

A good dose of curiosity, basic mathematical skills and above all the necessary enthusiasm to later end up in an industrial environment.
An ideal preliminary training is the 1st degree STEM sciences of 1st degree STEM techniques

What after?

Training Electrical techniques belongs to the STEM study domain and knows a double finality . In this training is flow through to the labor market . higher education possible.

After the 2e degree Electrical techniques you can enroll in the 3e degree Electrical Techniques.

After the 3e degree Electrical techniques you get it certificate of Secondary Education. This training provides you with a solid foundation to start higher studies for a professional bachelor in the field. You can also work for companies where there is a high need for technicians. Many companies are looking for young employees who have followed a training like this. The chance of a job with this training is therefore very high!

From the 3 degree Internship an essential part of the training, but also in the past the pupils are already in contact with the shop floor and the business world.

Our stewards and employees have employment years of experience with guiding our students on the work floor. Within each learning domain we have an extensive network of companies where internships can be run.

There are also walking many collaborations with sectors, companies we work on project-based, such as VDAB, Agoria, Umicore, Atlas Copco, etc.

This system certainly pays. 7 on 10 employers will hire someone sooner if they have had a form of workplace learning during their training, according to UNIZO research. "Workplace learning should become self-evident in all training courses, and should be directly in line with the needs of the companies themselves," said former UNIZO CEO Karel Van Eetvelt.

If you choose Learning + Moving on you are following a full-time course in the 2nd and 3rd stage. You lay a strong applied foundation and prepare for higher studies. Learning + Moving on has the finality "flow through" & "double finality" (advancement & labor market). The flow finality is the former ASO. These courses are intended to enable students to successfully progress to academic and bachelor courses. The double finality is the former TSO. These courses are intended to enable students to successfully progress to bachelor and graduate courses (= HBO5 courses) and / or to the labor market.
