Pijplassen

In the pipe welding module you learn electrode welding, MIG MAG and TIG. You learn to work with different welding equipment and make plate and tube connections. You learn to work accurately to prevent welding errors and deformations and to recognize the different types of metal such as steel, stainless steel, ...

Container welding

In the module container lenses you specialize in repairing all possible defects in containers. This is done using the same techniques you learned in the module pijzenen.

We offer welding training in a dual program. Learning dual means that you learn your trade both at school and on the work floor. You are also paid for your working days. Once you have graduated, you can convince your future employer with the practical experience you already have.

General subjects

In the general subjects you get the same subject matter as what is given in full-time vocational education from the 3e year to the 6e year. You also get the English course.

In addition, you can participate in projects such as mini-business, event agency and more!

Business management

If you want to start your own business, you need a certificate of business management.
We offer the opportunity to obtain this certificate during your education. This course lasts one year and is given in the form of a student company.

Together with others, you are trying to make your student business profitable and learn all the tricks of buying and selling. For example, at the end of the journey, you know for sure whether business is something for you and you have a solid luggage to work as a self-employed person.

How old do you have to be?

You can follow the course from 15 years until your 25 is old.

If you are 15, you must have followed at least the first 2 years of full-time education.

If you are older than 18 you must be eligible for a paid job. You must therefore be physically fit and you must have permission to work in Belgium.

What after?

As a pipe welder you often work in a welding workshop where you work on various constructions, such as stairs, balustrades, gates, ... You can end up in the industrial sector where you can, for example, work on various projects. You can also work as a welder in the port where you repair containers.

Welder is a shortage profession. So you can find work very quickly with one diploma welding. The advantage is that you have already built up relevant work experience within Learning + Working. This is an absolute advantage because employers are looking for this.

Today it's not easy to find a skilled welder. That's bad news for employers, but very good news for who can join the job market with this profile.

If you have successfully completed the polyvalent welder training course, you will receive a professional knowledge certificate for MIG / MAG or TIG welding. With this you place yourself firmly in the labor market.

After graduating, you earn on average 2140 euro gross as full-time welder.

Normally you will work after this training.
But with a secondary diploma you can start in higher education. If you still want to continue studying, it is best to inquire at the CLB. Depending on the degree certificate obtained, there are certainly still possibilities: for example in Adult Education, at VDAB, Syntra, ...

Welding is a technique for connecting metal parts. There are different techniques in welding.

The TIG welding is nowadays a widely used welding technique. It is also the most difficult form of welding. In the industry, you can work with Tig welders because you achieve the highest precision with this welding method.

We learn how to work independently in welding. Wage education in part-time education includes both corner joint, blunt plate and blunt pipe joints.

Training 'Welder-Welding'consists of the following 3 modules:

  • Corner nail glass
  • Pipeline
  • Plate glass

We also teach you welding with a coating electrode, with a MIG-MAG device; Also called a semi-automatic machine.

What does the welding training also involve?

  • a base in knowledge of electricity and metalworking;
  • Safe working with lorries;
  • a thorough knowledge of a specific welding process of your choice: TIG or MIG / MAG or semi-automatic welding;
  • You work at your own pace during your individual course.

Where can you go after training?

  • With the certificate of welder you respond to the high demand in the labor market;
  • You can further specialize in specific techniques (arc welding, semi-automatic welding or TIG welding);
  • You are eligible for a job at a mechanical construction company, in petrochemistry, in shipping, in the automotive sector, or at a company that does welding construction;

There is a great demand for good welders (bottleneck profession!). In Antwerp, you are as a skilled welder, very sure of a decent, well-paid job. If you have a passion for welding and you also want to get a secondary education degree, the training is definitely something for you.

You learn a Profession or profession By combining work and learning.
So you go to school two days a week and work for three days.
You receive a report four times a year with your results of both your performance at school and at work.

In Vocational training you learn a profession and can obtain a certificate of professional qualification.

Learning and working is a unique system.
We work without points. You will only be judged on what you can.
Your results in the general subjects (PAV) do not affect your results in the practical subjects.

We work modular so that you can graduate during the year. Once you have reached all competencies in PAV, you will be awarded your degree or diploma.

So you can't "stay put" and you study at your own pace.

What does the training cost?

We strive to keep our courses as cheap as possible.

You pay a fixed school fee per year. (That amount will be reduced if you register after 1 March).
In addition, you only pay for what you use, for your work suit and before you get off.

The cost per training differs greatly.
The cheapest training costs 185 € per year; the most expensive 350 €.

How can you pay?

You can pay cash at the administration; you can transfer the amount and you can pay with the bank card.
You do not have to pay the school fees in one go. You will receive a school bill four times a year.

What do you have to pay when registering?

When registering, we charge an advance of 50 euro.
If you cannot pay that in one go, you can also pay in installments.
